Worcester

While our physical Worcester store is the newest addition to the Wachusett brand, our roots began in Worcester nearly 90 years ago. Our family has been in the liquor business since the end of Prohibition in 1933, when we were in the first batch of liquor stores to be approved.

In February 2020, we opened the doors to our 5,400 sq. ft. Worcester location in the place where Jillian’s Restaurant used to be. We renovated the building to accommodate our inventory: that means a layout designed for the shopper (and yes, a beer cave larger than the one in our West Boylston store!).

In the back, we have an 80 ft. long cooler full of beer, seltzers, cider, wine, and RTD cocktails. In addition, there are five doors dedicated to local craft beer. There are a lot of things Massachusetts is great at, and producing craft beer is no exception.

Our Worcester store also has the best selection of bourbon in the city. It’s a bold statement, we know. We say this because we carry a large selection of craft distilleries (both local and national) and unusual cordials, and we pay attention to trends while never forgetting about the classics. American Whiskey, for example, is one of the styles we hold near and dear to our heart.

Like our West Boylston store, our wines are organized from International to American and can be easily browsed on the left side of our store. We also have a dedicated can and bottle redemption room. Our shelving is a little taller here, but we’ve set it up the same way to ensure you feel a similar experience at both stores.

For locals, we’re quite close to where Park Ave. meets Grove St. From the other direction, you can get to us right from Main St. Swing by and check out our newest addition to the Wachusett family!
