Ahh, the season of Rosé. Summer is right around the corner, and we know from experience that Rosé is the perfect wine to enjoy on hot days and warm nights.  Whether you’re drinking out of your “Rosé All Day” glass while watching Netflix or are in search of a unique wine for your next date night, we’d love for you to join us in trying this refreshing wine.

For the month of May, our   wine specials  are getting a little bit of a different treatment:   all Rosé wines are 20% off the original price. What better way to get everyone in the mood for Rosé?  Keep reading to learn about the Rosés that our staff is enjoying this spring.

Hailing from the Cotes de Thau in southern France, VillaViva is a bright and fresh Rosé. It is made of 100% Carignan, a black-skinned grape native to the region. It falls in between Pinot Noir and Petite Sirah. This rich, drinkable wine exudes notes of watermelon, strawberry, and raspberry. Pair it with pasta, vegetarian meals, or lean fish.

And Why Am I Mr. Pink

Reservoir Dogs, anyone? This Columbia Valley, Washington Rosé is full of freshly picked cherries, watermelon, and pomegranates. Made of Sangiovese grapes, it has the perfect acidity to balance out those bold fruity flavors. Be prepared if you bring this one to a dinner party—the label alone will turn heads, and may lead to some involved Quentin Tarantino discussions. Pair this mouthwatering wine with beef, pork, or poultry for the perfect warm weather meal.

Sofia Rosé

Speaking of films, the Francis Ford Coppola Winery now has Sofia in their arsenal, named after the director’s daughter, Sofia Coppola. In Sofia Rosé, Syrah, Grenache, and Pinot Noir grapes are blended to achieve this elegant, drinkable concoction. There are strawberries and lavender on the nose, and flavors of cherry, raspberry, and citrus zest on the palate. This award-winning Rosé is perfect for sipping on the porch, or for enjoying with friends and family over a summertime spread.

Les Mis Victor Hugo

Fans of literature, rejoice. The scenic rolling hills of Paso Robles are home to Les Mis from Victor Hugo Winery. Consisting of Malbec, Merlot, Zinfandel, and Syrah grapes, this is a great choice for the wine drinker looking to take a break from the typical sweet Rosé. You’ll get refreshing aromas of rose petal, strawberry, and melon, with a rich, dry balance that pairs perfectly with poultry or salmon.

Commanderie de la Bargemone

Calling all you history buffs! Look twice at the bottle— were you able to guess that the symbol on the label is for the Knights Templar? Back in the 13th century, the 400-acre estate was under the control of the military order, hence the homage to them.

Commanderie de la Bargemone hails from Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence in France, a large and popular wine region in southeastern France. Dry and crisp, this wine is comprised of several grape varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Rolle, Cabernet Sauvignon, Counoise, and Carignan. Pair this wine with green vegetables, and you’ll be sure to make history (or at least good memories) with your friends and family.

Is your mouth watering yet? We hope that this helped you understand why we’re ringing in the warm weather with Rosé. If Rosé isn’t your thing, that’s okay, too. There’s so much more to try in our store! Maybe you’re a   Riesling or Moscato  person, or perhaps bold, red wines better suit your fancy.
